This is a good and thought provoking piece Kerala. I find Covid very very difficult. I agree, there are bound to be long term mental health consequences of isolation and fear. At the same time, I fear for our workers on the front line. Nurses, doctors, teachers etc.
I also worry about what Omicron is going to do to the our productivity and confidence when we keep getting reinfected. Apparently 15% of Omicron cases here in the UK are ready reinfections, and Omicron had only been here for two months. Even mild covid for many is debilitating. There's a line somewhere between confronting fear and not letting that dominate our Iives, and being socially responsible and empathetic. I just don't know where that is.
