The problem with capitalism is that it profits from creation and consumption but never pays the bill for full life cycle cleanup. If every pound of greenhouse gas and pollution in general had to be paid for and dealt with as a part of the cost, things would be rightfully much much more expensive and we would be much more careful with our decisions.
