The cases are going through the roof in England, and Omicron is just getting started. Even if this variant is not as deadly (remains to be seen) it's going to take a massive toll when so many people are not working due to illness. I read a projection yesterday that if no further interventions are made, we could have up to 5000 deaths a day at the peak!
