And Brazil absolutely will keep chopping down the Amazon and murdering the animals and people that live in it. Thus accepting the nature or the system the best thing you can do to reduce the odds of these things happening is to reduce meat consumption. You absolutely don't need meat more than a few times a week in small serves. If we all eat less meat, take fewer flights, drive less, buy fewer things from over seas, it will all add up to meaningful change.

Additionally, fresh water usage is going to be a big deal, so food production needs to be as efficient as possible in that regards. I believe cows are horrifically inefficient per calorie per litre of water.
