The only place I disagree with you is on type hinting. To me this is one of the best additions to the language. I like my classes small and my methods and properties properly typed. I wrote an article a while back that talks about creating custom types to make code cleaner. No idea if that's of interest to you and you'd probably strongly disagree with me. But hey.
