Let's imagine for a moment that an artificial super intelligence is created before we go through the great energy crash of the 2030's.

I would expect it to realise very quickly that energy is vital for it's survival, and that humanity is competing with it for the same resource.

At the same time, it may lack physical capability to ensure it gets enough energy. So what's an ASI without arms and legs to do?
