I’m fully onboard a lot of what you’re saying, but I think good employers of the future will be flexible with their employees, because everyone has different needs. Some people are genuinely missing the community of working in the office and want to be back in full time. Others want a hybrid situation where they can be in the office sometimes. Others like you and me want full remote.
Imo, the employers that can figure out how to offer this flexibility whilst keeping everyone productive and happy will be the winners.
