I don't disagree with what you're saying, people are struggling. But our current way of life, our need for growth, it just doesn't work harmoniously with the planet. There are not infinite resources. We're depleting everything at an astonishing rate. We're polluting everything at an astonishing rate. We're destroying habitats and entire species at an astonishing rate. Buying more things, as well intentioned as things like electric cars are, still doesn't solve these problems. I'm very much in agreement with B, Richard Crim and Indi.ca on this topic. We have a blink in time to fix our lack of alignment with the needs of the planet, or we're done. It sucks, but to have any chance of making it in the long term, we need way fewer people, and a low energy way of life. Which won't happen. Such is life.
