GCP is currently running at a loss for Google.

Looking at age statistics, it doesn't look like Google had a problem with the younger people dropping it with 36% of users being in the 21-30 bracket

Google's real problem imo is ChatGPT and similar products that will no doubt come over the next few years. It's so much easier and more convenient to find out useful information and indeed, the company has signaled a "code red" internally over it.
